Probably more MSK from C Mehrl Bennett

RAIN - C Mehrl Bennett 2014

I hope no one is ever offended when I try to classify work sent to me.  When I say classify, in this case I mean I am trying to put the work on the fitting blog.  In this case  Mehrl hasn't marked the envelope.  I hover over the blogs and wonder is this intended for The Postal Ledger or is this MSK? It's the santa that convinces me that this is MSK - a photo full of colour, surrounded by more nuanced visual poetry pieces. I love when mail artists show their sense of humour and their other sides.  Here Mehrl's stamp (and the santas) had me smiling while I let my eye wander and take in the what I imagine  is the rain series. I'm delighted to receive the work, wherever I place them and I look forward to hanging them at the Pimlott Foundataion in a weeks' time.

Probably MSK - from Rosanna Veronesi

Although this came unmarked I believe Rosanna inteded this for MSK.  The sculptural feel and asmeic arms and boobs invite translation and perhaps music. This A4 collage has everything we might imagine for MSK. Thank you Rosanna.
Rosanna's also sent some stamps - the blue is the back of the collage and i have placed the envelope stamps above (to save on scanning)!

Many thanks for such a generous envelope full of monochrome and kodachrome colour!  I can also hear the urban music!

I wish I could play like Gina

with colour, spots, words and people.  I just love when a collage gesture is playful and believable.  That right hand is so sexy the way it wants to pull back the paper curtain of monochrome, you can already guess there is going to be a revolution of colour inside!

Yes Gina, it is all in one piece and these spots don't bother me at all!  I love them!

Nothing Stranger Than Steve and Shoulder Pads in its monochrome glory is inside Gina's Kodachrome slipcase and  I can't help it, but those legs strike me as the kind that you see when men put on women's clothing, or maybe it was Gina's title?

And then I see that I was wrong.  This woman in uniform she slips gracefully out of the undulating spots.  Is the face on the right her inner self, raging to get into something more comfortable, spotty maybe or is she singing?  what would these spots sound like?

Love the sincerity and the spectrum of this one! I can only guess what's behind those eyes.

Really great to get this from Gina and to know that I could practically call to her across the Suffolk Norfolk border!
